Gde is a doctor who maybe cares for dogs he found recently. But if he does not find someone who adopts the animals I think he harms the animals. Our story: we just found a little puppy near a beach in Lombok. We called Gde to help us getting the dog to Germany. He accepted but he wanted 6 Mio Rupiah from us to arrange the dogs journey. That was in October 2017. After sending the money and planning a process to get our Puppy to Germany Gde stopped answering our questions. Meanwhile we had some connection to another Austrian woman that also had a puppy at Gde's 'Dog Sanctuary' (a dirty and very nonhygienic place). In January 2018 he still had claimed that our dog is healthy and will come to Germany in May. But he refused to. Send any videos or pictures. In May we finally contacted a friend that lives in Flores. He was ready to fly to Mataram to see what is happening. In Mataram our friend found out that there was none of our puppies anywhere. But Gde just proclaimed 2 weeks before that both, ours and the one of the Austrian, were in good constitution. At least we got only a picture on which the Austrian's dog was dead. Gde told our friend that our Puppy 'ran away'. Without telling us (in fact I do not believe that this is true). In the end we just heard from other German people who spent their holidays helping Gde with his work from February to March that there did not have been a puppy like our 'Guerrero'. That was the time when Gde still told us the dogs gonna fly to Germany soon. We also heard that the Austrian's dog was so skinny this time and that the Germans had to tell Gde that it needs some food. Well this is our experience we had to get this time.. Never again. Maybe Gde helps one or another animal.. But only to get good recommendations and some money for himself. He treats people bad - especially foreigners, whom he only wants to betray to get their money. He is not honest and I hope nobody falls for him again. It is not easy to get a dog from Indonesia to Europe - but if you want to do it you have to go through a long process. So if you do it with Gde - let him sign a contract. Write bills and control the situation - because he might lose the desire for the dog and the adoption process. Tell him that you are in contact with a lawyer - you might need one.

Attention!!!! CAREFUL!!!! Never send money to this men, in the believing he will send you your adopted dog to Germany/ Europe this will never happen. I'm a Indonesian and travel special for my friends from Germany from Bali to Lombok to check out what's going on there. Since weeks they don't become a answer from GEDe how the dogs are. They send a lot of money for Immunisi, all documents and Injektions for the dogs. So we want to know what happens there. I arrive and the two dogs was died from poison? From someone!? It was like a horror movie to tell my friends what happened there. The question is, which one give poison to the dogs? Take care about your money don't believe people you don't know!!!! Anyway is so sad for the dogs 🐶

This man is our Lombok Hero! Dr. Gede, the founder of Lombok Animal Rescue personally flew to Jakarta to get our paper work completed. After dropping us off to the airport (to ensure we got on our flight) he was rushing back to Senggigi to rescue a dog who had been gashed open with its intestinal organs exposed. He told us he is constantly trying to help the animals on this island and that his volunteer work is never ending. Just the other week he saved a litter of puppies from being burned alive by the local people and brought them to safety. He told us that he currently has a puppy who he saved in home clinic, who had its head smashed in by a hammer and that the puppy is in stable condition but he may still need to make the hard decision to put her to sleep. He is the true embodiment of a hero. He is one of Kerala's heros. Even though he does not have social media, we are so grateful for everything he has done for us and eveything he continues to do for animals. It is individuals like him who make a harsh world a better place.
