Nako Lake is a small lake and should not be looked or compared with bigger lakes like chandratal and all. It has its own beauty and one must go with an open mind and just sit by the small serene lake and enjoy the clouds reflecting in the water. It you have a lake like chandratal, then this you will find disappointing. A small path is made around the lake and you can walk around.

This is a High Altitude Lake is located at an elevation of 3662 meters in Hangrang Valley in Kinnur district near Indo - China Border. Nako is a small village settlement near the lake and serves as a Stopover for the travellers going to Spiti vis Shimla! Start your day at Nako with a small Trek to the mountain behind the lake to get Simply Mesmerising, Beautiful Bird's Eye view of the Nako Lake, The Village and The Surrounding Peaks. During the day, roam around the village, Visit The Monastery! Spend the evening near the lake as it's Magical To Watch The Sun Setting Over The Snow Covered Himalayan Peaks!

Nako lake is small secluded reservoir which can charm anyone with its pristine natural beauty. It is nestled at an elevation of 3772m and surrounded by Willow and trees. The landscape is just fascinating. Nako lake is bounded by 4 tibetan temples. Best time to visit is between April to October.
