It was awesome as always! Great staff, nice cabin and cold river water. The kids always have a blast!!nWould love to see a Gaga ball pit for the kids and maybe organize a bring your own corn hole tournament every weekend :) for the adults :)

Really enjoyed this KOA! Beautiful river, lots of trees and areas to fish in the river or ponds, and nice sized lots with full hookups. There was a really nice playground, lots of level areas for biking, & a really nice dog park. Really enjoy the lots with patios, as it keeps the mess down when raining, which it was when we arrived. Definitely somewhere we'll go again!

My family and I stayed here for 3 nights. The first two days the weather was absolutely awful. By Monday it was beautiful and we had a great time. The store is nice, and kid activities and pool was great. The reason we couldn’t give 5 stars is because the first site they tried to put us at was literally all grass. No pavement and no gravel. We are in. 27’ 5th wheel, and mind you it was been pouring rain for 3 or 4 days. We kindly asked for a better spot. They did work with us on a “better” spot but this one was also very muddy. If we came back I would try and get one up towards the front of the camp and along the river side. Also the mobile shower trailer were a no go for us. Very dirty.

We stayed a little over one week at the Cherokee / Great Smokies KOA Holiday over the 2020 Thanksgiving Day holiday. The facility was top-notch, the staff was great, and the traveling camp workers represented the establishment all-around in great light. While the leaves were long gone during our visit, the tall threes were spectacular; one can imagine the seasonal changes that come about for those fortunate enough to visit during peak seasons. The laundry facilities were all in good working order, as there were multiple laundry rooms around the park. So much to do for the kids, and while this was amidst mid-pandemic and precautions were in effect, there remained endless opportunities for outdoor play. Those of you that frequent KOA's throughout the country know that at times, the role of dice doesn't always play out as well as one would hope. Not all franchise owners value delivering a quality park or experience, which was certainly not the case here. We ran into a trailer issue that prevented our hitching and leaving as anticipated. The broken part resulted in our staying a few extra days as we waited for a replacement park to our 5th wheel hitch. While unplanned, the office staff was delightfully accommodating and extended our stay as needed without any fuss. The result was cause for our being present as snow and 19-degree weather rolled in, and when you're committed to the mantra 'Go with the flow!' the snow-covered park upped the already natural beauty this place has to offer. Consider this particular KOA a highly recommended choice for your next trip to the area.

Park looks great! Staff was nice! Definitely will stay again. Lots of construction going on to make things nicer. Cant wait to see them finished.
