The premier weather office of the Government of India, India Meteorological Department has its head office located in Lodhi Road area of New Delhi. All the weather forecasting and other related services are provided by IMD. A C-Band Doppler Weather Radar is located on the top of the main DGM building. The office complex is flanked by Central Government quraters on one side, big private bungalows on the second side, India Habitat Centre on the third side and Lodhi Garden on the fourth side.
