An amazing place. Tough to reach here. I had been once here when I was 12. Loved the custom. Life time experience to visit the Temple. Police here were really so cooperative and helpful. Vehicles going to the forest are fully checked and sent.

IF TRY TO TRESPASS, THEN THEY HAVE TO STAY IN THIS BUILDING UNTIL THEIR RELATIVES ARRIVED......nLOCAL SHOPS ARE AVAILABLE FOR BUYING SNACKS,TENDER COCO'S AND CRACKERS.....nALL MOST ALL SOUTH INDIAN LANGUAGE SPEAKING POLICE AVAILABLE.....

This is probably the gate way point to Sabarimala. The women between 10 to 50 year are not allowed to climb the hill or visit the temple. Hence the police check post usually takes care of this criteria. Further any other issues like picpoketing, robert etc are also taken cared here.
