Main port of Minicoy, where large ship can anchor, many times if weather is not good and sea is choppy, ship will not be able to birth here and will anchor away, mainly on west side of the island and passengers along with luggage will have to go in a small ferry boat. Evening time locals come here for spending free time and also for line and rope fishing, mostly tuna. This is also good place to observe large and colourful fish from top of the bridge connecting the port. Water is so clear the u can see the ocean floor which is approx 35-40 feet down. Also feel the roaring waves while on the bridge. Locals said foreign tourist come here in monsoon to do surfboaring ud83cudfc4nShip will usually reach here early morning but will wait till light for birthing process.
