Here is a provision of Lactation Room. It is known as Hirkani Kaksh हिरकणी कक्ष in marathi language. This district hospital provide s well space for lactation. At many places this facility is lagging behind. This hospital is used by thousands of visitors every day. Many of them are feeding mothers. As this is public place, mothers feel embracement in feeding their babies in open, and its very natural. But here good facility is provided. Morever most of the needs of lactation room are available in this room. This room is well illustrated with nameplate to recognise that it is lactation room. The door of this lactation room can be locked from inside. There is instruction pasted outside that no one shall enter this room without permission.nThe space is provided with complete individual privacy without feeling confined. The seating arrangement for feeding is quite comfortable.nFinishing touches to make the room feel sophisticated is well applied yet comfortable. A space that invites breastfeeding mothers to feed their babies allowing them to travel without hesitation. Also, women employes working in nearby offices can use this space for lactating their babies and return to their work feeling energized, appreciated and highly productive.nThe World Health Organization recommends that a newborn be breastfed for a minimum of six months and the weaning process can continue up to two years. but due to lack of lactation spaces in many offices and areas, the babies are left behind with feeding merely in 3 months in india. This is very harmful for overall development of that baby.
