This is the best heigher secondary school in the area and i am telling this with my own experience as i was the part of the institution. The discipline is the most followed manner in this institution. The best quality infrastructure with ATL (Atal Tinkering Laboratory, basketball court, volleyball court, multipurpose ground, badminton court and multipurpose hall named st. Xavier's arc hall...

The following is wrt to the science stream, and are purely my views. Teachers focus a lot on the board syllabus, which in today's world, isn't that important. You need just 75 percent in boards to be eligible for all entrance tests, which is a cakewalk. The real challenge is competitive exams which the teachers here don't focus on and quite frankly will not be in a position to. Then there are the unnecessary extra classes where simple derivations are taught which is any person can learn within 15mins on YouTube rather than spending a whole hour at school. After all this, you will be subject to n number of activities going on all throughout the year. Every good university nowadays has an entrance exam and if your not able to get a decent rank, then your board marks don't matter. My advice is, go to the closest school(but not this one) and focus on self study for entrance, board prep will happen simultaneously. The only faculty that's really good, is the computer science faculty. All the other teachers are really rude, and focus on rote learning including the principal, who thinks he owns the place. This place may have been a good place a decade or two ago, but not nowadays. Most people are under pressure to say it's good because others are saying it's good. The library in this institute is a joke. Over 75 percent of the books available for physics, chemistry and maths are from the same company, only the edition number changes, and every year they purchase the same books which is absolutely ridiculous, it looks like Xaviers has some time up with that brand, and buy only their books. The school tries to enforce it's rules even outside its premises, they put in lots of effort into enforcing their rules, if only they had to put the same effort into improving students, they might have been better off. For every event, donations are forced from students. The principal loves to rant about things that everyone already knows off. You may be thinking that im not a good student and did not do my bit, however I scored the highest in mathematics in Xaviers in my year(98)[I got a certificate for it, but it didn't state that I got it for maths, it was such a useless certificate, that I confined it to the dustbin] I also qualified jee mains(General), and Xaviers had nothing to do with it.
