Smit Village is one of the oldest Kings palace. Very beautiful place, nicely maintained. Anyone can visit this wonderful place from Shillong city. Around 1 hour distance from Shillong. King Smit used to stay in the house made by wood. You will find a market near by. Villagers around this place come here to buy and sell various products. You can buy products from this market. Specially warm clothes are very cheap as I came to know from my car owner. I loved the place while visiting Meghalaya.
