Living Root Bridge

Living root bridge is a generic term for the bridges the locals are making out of the vines from live trees. There are a number of such bridges in the area.

The road to the bridge is very bad which isn't repaired by the govt.. but you can travel of course with good view sights.. and keep yourself fit enough to go down and up of approx 3500 steps to reach to the living root bridge to experience how nature can be beautiful.. trust me once you reach you can claim yourself as a nature person..nThe bridge is amazing which is the single longest living bridge and it's better to travel single person at a time.. you will feel scary but who cares when it's about adventure.. you can enjoy clear water with fishes in it and all around canopies and greenery and large rocks and boulders which was once being drifted from the mountains.. you can take guide with you from the starting point and in between when you get tired you can relax in villages with foods and drinks to savour.. the journey is amazing and you can see good people all around..nEnjoy nature

This beautiful structure named as the living root bridge is in Meghalaya. It is made by weaving roots of rubber tree by Khasi tribe of Nohwet village people.The Indian rubber tree is planted on both sides of the sacred river or known as the river of gods and this beautiful bridge is made. The bridges approximately 30 metre in length. In 2016 on 24th november - HER ROYAL HIGHNESS PRINCESS MAHA CHAKRI SIRINDHORN of Thailand came here to unveiled this place publically. When I went there, there are too many tourist with us from different part of country as well as from foreign countries. On the way to bridge you can get some snacks and water as their are some shops available there. To reach there you have to go downstairs first as it is present on the downside. You will have a beautiful glimpse of the flowing river and the living root bridge. Photography is allowed. but touching to tree parts and throwing litter is not allowed. Enjoy it as a beautiful man-made creativity.
