Hospicio District Hospital

On 7 th Dec 2020(sunday),at around 3pm to 4pm (approx)a lady was taken to Hospicio with severe abdominal pain. Because of pandemic only patient was allowed in hospital.Doctor on duty was very arrogant and disrespectful towards her in terms of checkup. Doctor holded conversation with nurse stating "why do these people come on sunday to hospital", assuming the patient don't understand Konkani. Patient came out of the hospital with tears in eyes with the scenario she faced. I request Docs.. to please amend the HIPPOCRATIC OATH...as per convenience..so that public don't trouble any. Dr. please inform diseases not to trouble you on sunday. Please refer DR.Prescription attached. This place is as old as Portuguese rule in goa... Situated in the heart of Margao city... There is no parking for common people be it 2 or 4 wheelers...they just park it outside the hospital compound which results in more traffic problems.. only staff is allowed inside the compund for parking... Now the procedure to get service here is as follows... Get a case paper for ₹100 by giving ID proof of Driver or Election card... They will assign a ward based on what treatment you have come for... Go to the respective ward and submit the case paper... They note it down and hand over the paper back to you... Then is the waiting in the long queue until your name is called by a person... There is no token system ...no proper seating... The corridors are narrow for even 2 people at a time... The place stinks and hygiene is not maintained at all.. the pharmacy on the ground floor has 2 lines.. However the doctors do come late... They do decent job and are good with their field... This place also has a canteen to be avoided for hygiene purposes... The building seems old and needs a lot of work... The staff also needs to be more helpful rather than being frustrated at a sick patient.. A new person coming here will be lost as there are no proper boards for wards ..nor any token system... Overall the hospital really needs infrastructural development with proper guidance at the entrance.

In government hospitals it will take time treatment Because in many numbers patients visiting. Patients attending doctors,nurses,lab technicians of hospicio doing well.

Due to Covid-19 avoid going to Hospital until and unless it's very critical.

Staff is no give response.
