As a basic eatery away from the beach, there's one or two things you have to do or offer to attract and retain customers. You either have to be better value, or offer much better food than the places in prime location. Agonda Beach Cafe fails on both accounts. It's a perfectly decent place to have a meal, no regrets, but the food isn't particularly special, nor is it much cheaper than nicer places in the area. We had fried seafood noodles and a rather small serving of butter garlic squid with fries. Both fine, but nothing special. Price is around 250-300 for seafood dishes which is similar to other places in South Goa

We came to Agonda beach cafe for a late night meal and found a very relaxing atmosphere, comfortable seating and lovely ambient lighting. People playing guitar and talking, everyone was very friendly and spoke to us making us feel welcome. The food was superb. The best channa masala we've ever eaten. The prices are very low for the area and the size of the dishes were more than enough to feed us twice over. We'll definitely be coming back here.

We had dosa for lunch and it was delicious. The cafe has a wide selection of vegan food, since South Indian cuisine is predominantly plant based, but because the place never popped up in my ‘vegan food’ google search, we only discovered it in our last days here, which is a bit of a bummer, since my kids love dosa :) Our host recommended us this place when I asked him whether there are dosa places in the near of Agonda beach. Highly recommend if you are looking to eat some vegan authentic South Indian food.

Excellent food with value for money. Tastes good and far better than much hyped restaurants in the locality.
