Subai Jain site, - This 11th century Jain site, is a captivating location, accessible by road. Its 34 kilometre from koraput, on the way to nandapur, at a distance of 13 km from semiligud. These four mahaveer Jain idols, are being worshipped in the four Jain temples . These mahaveer Idols are surrounded by 24 tirthankara (saviour and spiritual teacher of the of the dharma). Mahaveer taught observance of the vows Ahimsa, Satya, Asatya, Brahmacharya, Aparigraha, is necessary for spiritual liberation. He gave the principle of anekantavada (many sided reality) Syadvada and Nyayavada. The sad thing is that, many of these monumental scriptures are under open sky and some of those are stolen also. Though some local guys, trying their level best to preserve the jain temple and sculptures by repairing / reconstructing them.
