Katwaria Sarai is an great 400 yrs Village. First Settled by Sansanwal Gotra JATS, who in direct clash with Mughals, uprooted them with the help of Rajputs.They defeated Mughals as 100% Rajputs supported them in the war against Mughals. Sansanwal Gotra JATS are the rulers of Bharatpur State in Rajasthan. Its now an urban village in the south of New Delhi. It is one of the three villages, along with Ber Sarai and Jia Sarai, bordering the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi (IIT-D). It is mainly known for students, who stay here for preparation of various competitive exams like ESE and other engineering exams.
