Sri Lankan Buddhist Temple

Visited legendary Jetvana monestry where Buddha spent 25 monsoon seasons and preached. A wealthy merchant Sudatta purchased the land for the monestry from a wealthy seth called Jetti Seth. The place also has a popular tree planted by Sudatta. It's known as Boddhisatva tree. It's a peaceful, calm and quiet place.

This is very devotional place. I have visited this place thrice. Very serene and soothing atmosphere. People from all walks of life come here to conjure up ancient history of Buddhism at this place. This place is easily reachable. Lots of Buddhism followers come here throughout the year to feel Buddha's life. They meditate here under the blessings of lord Buddha.
