This airport has come a long way since first I landed there 18 years ago, when the landing field was only grass and there wasn't much of a terminal building either. Back then, as the aircraft approached Dhangadhi, I kept wondering where the airport was, even after landing.

Yes its the second longest runway occupying airport in nepal but a lot of improvement is possible. A little more management of crowd, more information displayed on display monitors about the weather, flight time, delays (important ) etc.nOverall its amazing and running healthy.

The Dhangadhi airport nowadays is popular and busy due to its mountain flights to hilly districts of far-western region and normal flight to other parts of Nepal. It is well maintained in terms of space but there are more areas to improve. One can get autos and taxi easily during the airplane arrivals, small canteen for tea and snacks is OK and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staffs here won't disappoint you.
