A well designed and decorated place in centre of patna. Easy to reach and ample parking space. ₹100 for adults, ₹50 for students(college I'd required) and children. Salute to the artists and designers, well thought and built. Good place to have some nice photographs. Being a museum, I expected more of historical findings/monuments/structures etc, instead there are more of photographs, interactive videos on TVs, newly created arts which is also good but seems more of a park. Overall, must visit 👌.

Awesome place, if you have interest in history and culture, you must visit this place. Very well maintained.Showcase of different statues, drawing and graphics from all over the state, coins of very early age, pictures and models of different places of all over the state are kept here. You get to see different sculptures from B.C. time. Overall environment around the museum is nice. Affordable ticket price, you have to pay more if you want to take photographs inside the Museum.

Established 15 August 2015 It is located in Patna, the capital city of the East Indian state of Bihar. Its exact location is on the southern flank of Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, Bailey Road, in Patna. It is spread over an area of 13.9 acres. The site of the proposed museum was earlier occupied by seven old bungalows between LN Mishra Institute and Hartali Mor in Bailey Road. Later in March 2013, the building construction department demolished all the bungalows. The Bihar Museum has several galleries. These include the Orientation gallery, the children gallery, the regional gallery, the contemporary gallery, the historical art galleries, the Bihari Diaspora gallery and the visible storage gallery. The exhibits on different subjects are displayed in separate galleries. Each gallery is huge and has many artifacts on display including ones dating back to the 4th century. The gallery gives an overview of the Museum and a theatre is located at the end of the gallery. A brief film introducing the museum and its collections is screened in the auditorium regularly. Film shows on Bihar's timeline and Bihar's history are also shown. Its collection of artefacts and exhibit items is divided into six domains: the Orientation Room, the Wildlife Sanctuary, the history sections on Chandragupta Maurya and Sher Shah Suri, the Arts and Culture section and the Discovery Room. Among the exhibits are a simulated the Asian paradise flycatcher, the Indian giant flying squirrel, animals, birds, trees and plants native to the state of Bihar. The gallery's focus is family learning; most exhibits are designed to be interactive, allowing children and families to actively participate.

The place is covered with beautiful pieces of art and culture. The museum has several galleries including the Orientation gallery, the children gallery, the regional gallery, the contemporary gallery, the historical art galleries, and many more. You can also find refreshments here but it will cost you more than the normal rates. Mushroom maggi is a must try in of the cafes inside. Overall, a good place to visit on holidays.

The building and infrastructure is good but the contents is not enough to be called as a museum. For adults (Indians) the admission fee is 100 rupees and 50 rupees for students and children. If you are under students quota you are required to submit a hard copy of college or school id.
