This is a good place. Lots of informative items in a well maintained cute small place. A must visit for Bishnupur bound tourists.

All the historical objects of Bishnupur are in this museum. When you come to this museum, you will be able to bring many historical things. It costs a lot less money to visit this museum.

This museum preserves the traditions of terracotta and other indigenous art forms in Bankura. It is a double-storied,nyellow building with three main galleries: on sculpture, music and terracotta.nThe first two galleries are spread over a large area on the ground floor while the terracotta gallery is on the first floor.nIn addition, as part of the terracotta gallery is a gallery showcasing rare photographs of Sree Sarada Devi, wife of Sri Rama Krishna Paramhansa who was born in this district.nA proposed anthropology gallery would make the fifth gallery.nA decorative terracotta boat replica welcomes all visitors to the museum and also reminds one of how Bishnupur is synonymous with this art form.nThe museum is encircled by a small but well-manicured garden which further aestheticizes it.

Nice place.

It is a really great museum, with good collections, actually it's a family museum. With the collection of their own ancestors. And a bit of other collections, they organise an annual show (as I have heard).
