This place is full of beauty and peace. As per mythology there were 9 dwips. Like one of the 9 dwip is Nabadwip. Similarly Simanta dwip is one of these 9 dwips. And Simantini Devi is the goddess of this Simanta Dwip. Simantini Devi is another form of devi Parvati.

The teracotta work is complete! I visited the temple on Feb 26,2019 late afternoon. You can read the pastime of Simantini and Lord Gauranga in English or Bengali on the outer temple wall teracotta.nnNow that the temple is complete with pond, fountain, gardens, and teracotta art panels and pastimes, one can relish the spiritual ecstasy of this pastime while having darshan of their lordships

It was very nice time spent on the eve of salil vihar, boat ride of Lord Jagannath. Hear Durga Devi is meditating for Lord Chaitanya to see him and serve.
