Kuna Pokhari is a village inside the Dhuranayal Gram Sabha. This district is also known as a frontier village of Almora. The population of this village is only about 200. The village is divided into two parts. Some people go to bed during the winter season because the climate is hot there. To reach this village one has to walk about two kilometers from the highway. Hence most of the population of the village has settled on the roadside. Some wealthy people have migrated from the village along with the whole family and settled in the cities. Some families have started living in Haldwani, Pithoragad and some in Almora city. These families sometimes turn to the village for village worship and other programs. It has been heard that under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the highway to Bagena Primary School is going to be ready. After the construction of the highway, the days of the village can be very different because people will be able to go to the village with their vehicles. Water, electricity etc. are available in this village. This village is a happy village as it produces a lot of produce. People also grow veggies according to the season.
