Tehsil office Ganderbal Located at National Highway main road towards the Ganderbal. Mostly the revenue records of the tehsil level and government or public sattlements.

This place used to be the district session court in the past, but after the DC office was shifted to mini secretariat, the former DC office was made the district session court and the former court as Tehsil office.nIt covers the tehsil area of nearby few villages and not whole Ganderbal. Located on the Srinagar leh highway. Easily reachable place. Open during office hours.

Ganderbal Tehsil office located at national highway 1D easy to access there as no problem in transport and parking but need to update public accommodation such like parks and sitting arrangements.

During British rule, a Tehsildar was most likely a stipendiary officer of the government, employed to raise revenue. It was also called as Mamlatdar in some parts of Maharashtra.[1] It was subsequently used by Pakistan and India following their independence from the British Empire. Tehsildar is also known as Talukdar in some states of India.In the 17th-century saint composer Kancharla Gopanna who was known as Bhakta Ramadas. Gopanna was the Tahasildar of Bhadrachalam (second half of the 17th century), is said to have used money from the government treasury to build the Bhadrachalam Temple, and was imprisoned in a dungeon at Golconda.
