Best Homestay/Lodge at Majuli (Garamur Town). Nearest Ghat - Kamalabari Ghat. The owner Monjit Da is very friendly and welcomes you with warm hospitality. The Homestay rates are reasonable. We had a great stay of 2 nights.

Beautiful stay with the most helpful host. He has been the kindest and helped us out so much. The rooms are perfect, aesthetically pleasing and very practical for the most affordable price. Would definitely suggest people to come here.

Worst experience. Visited during 25-26 March 2016 with my wife. On 26th March they denied us lunch (although had prior booking) with the excuse that they didn't have the cook. Though they (host) were busy in attending some foreign guest in front of our cottage with Assamese Traditional thali....Then we realised that they are probably more interested in the tourists visiting via travel agents or foreigners from whom they can charge food with inflated price. Too professional, isn't it?

It is a nice place to stay without isolation. Their cottages are good but bathrooms should be little better. They should install solar hot water unit. I will prefer dining at Ural Restaurant which 500m away because they have more variety. Owner and staff are very friendly. They will be like your family during the stay. Ask them anything about Majuli and they will help you out to make your Majuli stay a wonderful experience.
