Pazhayannur Bhagavathy Temple

Our family temple, quite good and clean. Pleasent and clam place. But timings is only from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in evening and even in morning closes at 7:30.

Ancient temple, and it has its own charm. It has the speciality of roosters wandering around the temple and it's offered by devotees.nSome traditional stories are there how roosters saved the King from foreign forces.nThe ancient building near the temple, where the parking lot is there, is not maintained and it's in ruins,

Beautiful temple. The temple has Lord Vishnu, Bhagvathy, Lord Mahadeva's deities. We could see a lot of Hens/Roosters in the temple. Devotees do Rooster/Hen offering to Devi. Great cause of saving lives of these birds. Hens/Cocks are found inside the temple, steps of the Garbhagudi/NaDai as well. Neivedyam is given to these Roosters as well. Marriages are conducted in this temple.

Pazhayannur Bhagavathy Temple is a differnet temple in the sense lot of cocks are moving around..wall paintings attached are nice.nnThis is a unique temple. You will see many roosters around the temple. They are offered by the devotees. There is also a Shiva temple on the side of the main Bhagavathy temple. It is worth visiting when ever you are around this area.
