This is to be considered as a monument of the medieval age Palace of Moppil Nair family. Cheraman Perumal gave the land to the Kavalapara Mooppil Nair family, who administered the area with his managers or karyasthans. But in 1964, shortly after the death of the head of the family, Karakkat Kumaran Raman Kochunni Mooppil Nair, disputes among the successors of the family began. Court cases since 1967 led to the Kavalapara Palace is under receiver administration. Having history of over 400 years, the abandoned palace complex is now a near-impregnable thicket. Other than Malikachuvadu and another building known as Agrasala, all other structures in the complex have already been razed.

This is just something from another time, I've heard movies were shot here.nMy ancestors may have served here in some form. A royal Nair palace who were once the rulers of the surrounding lands. Sad to see a monument so exquisite go to waste. If only the administration cared.nMOTOTROOPER(YOUTUBE)

Actually it isn't a museum, its just an old demolished house. no need of entry money or parking fees ud83dude02.. its free to enter there's nothing much to see
