#Panchpeer_Dargah, locally known as #Choto_Panchpeer and situated adjacent to #Dhubri_District_jail and opposite to #Purana_Hospital_Dhubri . It is the tomb and place of meditation of one of the Sufi saints who during the reign of #Aurangzeb, the then Mughal Emperor came to Assam along with 4 other pirs( Shah Akbor, Shah Bochamar, Shah Charn, Shah Sufi and Shah Kamal) or Sufi saints as a means of spiritual support to the Mughals. It is noteworthy to mention that #Mirjumla was the then governor general of united Bengal under the Mughal rule. However, the head of those 5 Sufi saints, Gazi Shah Akbar chosed a small hillock near the river bank which is at present known as the #Panchpeer_Dargah situated in ward no 1 Dhubri. Panchpeer Dargah is respected and worshiped my many peoples irrespective of caste, creed, religion etc and has proved to be a place for communal harmony. Panchpeer Dargah stands as one of the important structures of historical importance around the banks of the river Brahmaputra. It lies aroud 3. 1 kms from the city of Dhubri and is accessible via the Guru Teg Bahadur Road in under 15 minutes. Built in the year 1662, the Panchpeer Dargah marks the site of the last living remains of the five Sufis who accompanied Raja Ram Singh in the Mughal attack on the sultanate of Assam. Constructed in a blend of Indian-Islamic architecture, the dargah welcomes one with a gated entry. The main entrance has an arc like structure with the nameplate in the regional language, there are also a couple of minarets on the entrance. Getting inside of the compound, the area is quite well maintained with marbled flooring and the five spots of the saints covered with white marble and a sheet on top of the mazar with inscriptions in arabic and urdu. The Panchpeer Dargah is a site of neutrality and is held in high regards by the whole society, one big factor is also because of the rise of Raja Ram Singh in that battle where if believed he was also accompanied by the Guru Teg Bahadur. People from every community often visit the dargah with prayers and offerings for the saints irrespective of their religion or any other social barriers. br /> Panchpeer Dargah of Dhubri can be visited durgin timings 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM.

Pachpeer or Five Saints dargah is highly famous for its history and the faith of the people having on the dargah. Pachpeer dargah is also famous on Fridays because lots of people gather in the dargah in order to lightens the floor of Dargah with candles and pray there. Anytime you come Dhubri, I suggest, have a visit once. I personally am a believer of the dargah. And the peers or the powers behind all had also blessed me with some things in my life.
