Nice place for hanging out with family, friends or colleagues. But you must explore in rainy time. At summer water level is very low. You can enjoy boating with local guide. It is at Dukura 20-21 km near Baripada, main city. You can capture some photo session with nature.

This dam is a masonry check dam that is constructed to impound water for maintaining and regulating irrigation. The water stored behind this anicut is used for irrigation of crops or drinking water for humans and livestock. This is a beautiful place amongst the mountains of Similipal Range. The clouds in the morning are just beautiful and breathtaking. You have to see it to believe it. It is a very beautiful place; calm and serene especially during the sunrise. Best time to visit is during monsoon and early spring or winter.nnRoads are one of the negative points here with no solid road leading to the place. Bikes or SUVs are preferred.

Very nice place for picnic.... connecting road needs to be improved and dam needs renovation.
