Getting to the sanctuary itself is a novel experience. Get on to a ferry in your car and get transported to the island! Buy tickets at the entrance and get into the sanctuary. It is beautiful with mangroves everywhere, undisturbed. There are mounds of mud dug up by mud lobsters, the mudskippers and the many birds that are everywhere. If one sits silently in a place, a lot of birds can be seen. A couple of hours will fly once you are inside!

Visit this museum before visiting the park... Details about bird migration and migratory birds and other birds will enrich your knowledge and understanding about the birds and will make your visit sensible and enjoyable... It's one of its kind and is a man-made and man-managed wetland right in the heart of Central Asian flyway...
