The museum displays rare inscriptions, beautiful sculptures and various sculptures created by ancient kings. This museum is a boon to the Thiruvannamalai district. It is a good opportunity to show the world the antiquity of the district and the antiquity of the district to all the people of the world.

Minister K. Pandiyarajan said that the 22nd Museum of Tamil Nadu will be set up in Thiruvannamalai by the year 2020.nIt is planned to set up a Government Museum at the old site of the District Collector's Camp Office at Venkikal, Thiruvannamalai.nArchaeological, Cultural and Tamil Development Minister Pandiyarajan visited the site. Thiruvannamalai is home to the 22nd District Government Museum of Tamil Nadu, which has a space of 23,000 square feet. Work is underway to display 7 different histories in all museums in Tamil Nadu. It has been advised that all school students in this year’s schooling should be taken to nearby museums.
