A BIG shout out to the entire Visa processing team for their excellent service. The best thing about them is that they respect your time. They were responding during weekends too. I approached the Chicago team as my daughter's travel to India in an emergency. The Visa team helped me in every step through the whole process. I never felt any pressure as I was getting quick responses to all my questions. Visa officer was very polite and experienced. I would highly rate and great to have such a fantastic team at our Indian consulate - Chicago office. Kudos to the entire Visa team! You guys rock.

Went in for a urgent request for passport renewal. I had a family emergency and I ignored the passport by letting it expire for over 6 months. The staff and senior members considered my case and after providing necessary paperwork, my passport was renewed extremely quickly. Honest review. No one from the Indian consulate paid me to write this. Thank you to everyone at the consulate for the quick response.

I would like to give 5 star rating for my recent experience with the Consulate General of India, Chicago. We need visa for my 2 years old son to travel to India for emergency travel. I am so thankful the promptness in which the staff has responded. I want to particularly thanks to the services of Mr. K. L. Gupta Sir and Mr.Ranjit Sir for their extraordinary help. They both were so helpful and did my request so efficiently and treated us their family member. My overall experience was extraordinary. Thank you so much for all your help. Appreciate your help in this tough situation.

The worst embassy I’ve ever seen. They will never answer the call or has not called back despite multiple phone calls. This is called the typical Indian government...we need a better system here in Chicago. I will be informing this to the media ASAP

I do not have anything good to say about the consulate. They are very rude and not helpful at all. We had an emergency situation (death in the family) and they had no sympathy. They were rude to the whole family and did not care. We called several times and and people were so rude and disrespectful. They told us to come at 9:30am and a few hours later we were still not called. The lady on the phone told us her name was Susan..... this was not correct. "Susan" was very rude and not helpful at all. I would hope that this team of people get trained on how to treat clients with respect in all situations and what is the definition of common manners. The most incompetent people work here. No one is knowledgeable and they think they are doing US a favor for doing what they get paid to do..literally the most useless people I have ever encountered in my life.
