This campground has spacious sites, close enough to downtown, but you still feel like you are at a state park when there. The dog walk area being secluded was nice for our nimwits that love to bark. The easy access to the beach across the street. Definitely will camp here again.

Although this was one of the biggest campgrounds we have been to, this was one of the nicest. The trees are so large and the grounds are designed so that it’s as if you feel secluded even though there are hundreds of campsites. The campground is setup very nicely. It is very cool that you are in town but you feel very much secluded. Just a quick walk across the pedestrian bridge and you are at the beach on grand Traverse Bay. We enjoyed the stay.

Love the campground facilities and being able to walk to the lakeside park. Beautiful walk this morning.

Haven't stayed there yet but did a drive through. The site look spacious. And well taken care of. Will update when we stay there in May.

Really nice place to stay their redoing the place with new electricity box's and putting in quite a few cement pads, their bringing the campground up to standards and the bathrooms are decent BUT the showers are... Well SAD the water pressure is no more than a spit bath and the faucets leak nearly more than what comes out the shower head... But would I recommend staying here yes.. There's places to shop tons of places to eat and there's the wonderful bike/walking/jogging--tart trail right off the back of the park not to mention the wonderful beach across the road via a walking bridge.
