InterContinental Hanoi Westlake, an IHG Hotel

I am a frequent traveller. Among hundreds of hotels I have stayed, the Intercontinental West Lake Hanoi is the best. Amazing breakfast buffet, kind, caring and professional staff and beautiful scenery... The Hotel has also very humane and caring approach to its staff - no discrimination based on nationality, gender, ages and appearances. The Hotel hires and support people with disabilities. The compassionate and caring approach of the Hotel reflects local value, traditional value of Vietnam which I love and respect. Finally this is also the most beautiful place for the staff to work and for guest to stay. Thank you so much for everything - food, service, most comfortable bed and pillow and above all your kind care... I will never forget my stay here....

Visited on the Romance package. Very friendly welcome. Room was spacious, modern and comfortable. The food at the Milan restaurant was good and the cocktails at the sunset bar were tasty. The breakfast was excellent. The gym and sauna were modern. The outdoor pool was a little cool, and the check out could have been a little more friendly, but a great stay overall.

Beautiful hotel grounds with a stunning view of the city. Room was very large with beautiful views looking out to the bay. The hotel itself is a bit secluded from the rest of the town, but can be easily accessed via a taxi. Would recommend for a night or two, but you likely will get bored of the hotel if you are staying for an extended period of time due to its distance from the city.

Horrible customer service due to the upper management I will give you their names:nI originally made this booking online and I had paid the hotel with a bank transfer which is commonly known in Vietnam to pay for goods or services but because of the holiday the bank said that they did not receive the money because it’s a holiday but this was already after they said that they receive the money and so they called me and disturb me while I was in my room I had no expectations of being called by anyone which is precisely why I got a hotel by the lake that cost 7 million Vietnam dong a night. I don’t know about you but I don’t go on these retreats to be bugged and called and harassed as of a fire earthquake is happening when I already showed them proof of payment and then they did the bait and switch on me and said that they did not receive the payment but I already showed them proof that I sent the payment they were just impatient even if they would’ve charged my American business debit card they still would not get the money although that’s what they did and I was not authorizing that charge at all.nnSang Nguyen (Ms.)nFront Office Managernn(Mr.) Trung NguyennDuty ManagernnThey double charged my credit card during the holiday season of Tet. I was not expecting a $350 charge from my credit card. I would be careful of these people they work in the hospitality industry hospitable at all there’s a bunch of money hungry people that have zero common sense and no care or understand for customer service or hospitality I would not recommend staying at this hotel!
