The forest dept. has done a great job here. The boat ride is just amazing. To have the best experience, visit during the winter. Try to reach here by 6AM and go straight to the booking counter - don't entertain any touts. You can rent the official sightseeing boat here for around Rs.700, and the cost can be shared with co-passengers. It is definitely worth a visit.
