kangra for is best place to explore nature and historical things, after climbing 100s stairs you get chance to see aa statue of Budda which is probably 5000 years old and it is made of sand only. i met with an old lady who used to work in toilets, she was very nice in nature, i love people of Himachal Pradesh

It's believed this Fort is one of the oldest Fort of India. A audio guided tour helps us in understanding the History of this fort. According to the history this fort was ruled by King Porus to Britishers and Katoch dynasty. This is the first fort brunt the invading army of Mohamad of Ghazni who looted this fort by defeating the Katoch king and carried the wealth to his kingdom. It's been said this fort has been invaded 22 times by Ghazni. This fort was last rules and governed by Raja Ranjit Singh from the clutches of Britishers. In 1947 this kingdom accepted the supremacy of Republic India and joined into the United India.
