It is inside slum, room stinks.nVery Dirty washroom.nIt was so bad that I asked for refund, the owner refused that's why had to stay.

My experience was very bad staying here.nNo name/display board of the hotel seen ..and they will cost you for around 2k which is not worth

Not at all a VFM deal! The charges are absurd for such an untidy and shady place (even on a weekday). Despite subscribing to the absurdity don't except that you will get any complimentary basic room amenities not even packaged water, soap, paste, glasses, chairs etc. They don't give receipts and bills also (full illegal business). I think this probably could be the scenario across Matheran and they just want to exploit desperate couples, families & tourists and just skim n milch. This place could be aptly branded as a shady spot. We paid so much but this place is not even worth 500 bucks. Matheran as an eco-sensitive & trekker friendly place it's going to the dogs. 2 stars for good sunrise view post-monsoons during winters.

Good place to stay 2 days near Matheran railway station.Prime place in Matheran to access all market area as well as all major points. Rate is also reasonable to all. Service is ok but not great.
