Dr. A. K. Raman

Firstly Would like to apologies for lengthy review. To begin with Dr. Raman is a fake, unconcerned and unprofessional doctor who is commercialising the profession. My brother had visited him for first time recently for psychological issue. We reached his residence early and despite being only patient was made to wait for almost 1.30 hours. He behaved smart by collecting consultation fee within first half an hour itself and saying will come back in 10mins which got extended to an hour and beyond. Later he came back with numerous excuses and actual consultation timing. Patient and doc started conversation which was hardly for 10mins and turned into self boosting by doc and pointing mistakes in patient's current medications. Brother is having severe medical history for last 10yrs, he grabbed this opportunity and was adament to get us done an expensive blood tests done from his recommended lab only and not taking consultation ahead. Anyhow, since those tests could be utilized further we got it done. Now he went on being adament to get each prescribed medication from his mentioned stores only and show him. The actual consultation was only for 15mins but due to his unprofessional and money making attitude we were stuck there for 4hours despite being his only patient. Now coming to most critical thing, medication. Despite knowing brother's medical history he prescribed 4 heavy dose anti depressants at one shot. Post this info by our family doctor, tried reaching on call. He failed to recall his only patient of the day and did not hear our concern. He suggested us to continue with medication and revisit him next day. Dr. A. K Raman is highly unprofessional, unethical person. He is no psychiatrist for sure. We really thank God for genuine doctors like our family doctor who saved us But I feel sorry for poor patients visiting him. Hopefully this review will atleast prevent educated/tech savvy people from being cheated.
