Best place not just to buy art but to meet the most humble people for whom art is a passion. Wide collection of artwork and paintings shown in the most patient way in a family like atmoshphere. Highly highly recommended.

Tl;dr - if you can only do one thing in Udaipur, take a class in the Village with these artists.nnSachin is an incredibly humble and generous artist. He is the owner, shoot him an email and make a reservation for when you want to go. He will give you an option of staying in the city or going to the Village town where all the artisans paint, go to the Village!nThen, once you get there, you will get to paint your very own miniature! And it’s using the old techniques and materials. The artists there produce pieces that should be in a gallery, they are so good!nI am am an artist, and with my cousin who has never painted, but you wouldn’t be able to tell from the finished product! They hold your hand a good amount and walk you through everything.nOnce you are finished, you can go back to the city where the school is, and you can purchase pieces by Sachin or any of the other artists.nMy cousin and I spent 3 weeks around India, and we can say definitively that this was our favorite experience from our trip.

The person selling the paintings is very nice and patient but again this place is no different from all the others selling similar paintings across the city. I noticed most shops now have art school attached to their name which is just a marketing gimmick. There is no real art school here.

It was a great learning experience for me. An excellent place to learn miniature painting.
