OYO 29663 Sp Highway Inn

Biggest advantage at this hotel is its All Rounder Manager Mr. Bala. Really a sweet heart and a very very helpful service minded person. These kind of people can't be even founded in many 5 star hotels.nWe stayed here as all other hotels in Vellore were booked due to some local major events. This is certainly a value for money deal. It's a raw space with good/large beds, TV, bath etc. No other amenities can be expected for 'this price.' And only disappointment is totally caused by OYO describing this as a Hotel, but in reality its an olden days lodge, renovated to some Modern standards.

Poor response from both Oyo customer care and hotel reception when I tried to enquire them about how to reach hotel from katpadi station either they never picked up the call r said I'm outside call d other number but they never gave the other number. But the lodge staffs out there were polite and helpful. I would say the room was spacious but lacked aesthetic. Above all too far from railway station about 12k from katpadi railway station

I visited SP Highway Inn last week along with my friends. We stayed here for a night. First the positives, location is on the highway, easy to identify. Service is good, they are customer friendly. I got an Oyo deal and our charges for a 3 bed deluxe was around INR 990, which is great. In the ground floor you have a super market and good hotels are available. We had no issues in car parking. Now on the negatives, Room being on the second floor, lift wasn't working (Work in Progress), I'm sharing this if you plan to stay with Senior Citizens. So please check before booking, if the work has been completed. The rooms give a look of a Lodge and not a hotel, which may not be okay to some family. For us it was absolutely fine.

Very Bad. Pathetic. Bed and pillows are stiff as rock for god's sake.nThe AC doesn't even work and still they say AC rooms. I don't know what kindof a service they are trying to provide.nThere was no one at the reception when we walked in and after we checked in that guy was insisting to pay the amount then and there and that too by cash only. I dont understand the sense of online payment option in OYO if this is how they want to service.nThe washroom isnt cleaned.nIf given an option then i would give -5 star rating for the hotel and their pathetic service

Good place to stay at vellore, in a decent budget. Good and courteous staffs. No restaurants or good hotels for food nearby, staff will buy you anything you want if you pay. Due to high temp at summer, the ac takes at least one hour to cool the room.
