Around 170 kms from Hyderabad this is a lovely location to spend your weekends. The temple compound is in a mess and not at all maintained with wild creepers and bushes all around. However once you reach the vantage point the view down below of the statue is Lord Shiva in the middle of the Krishna river is mesmerising - if only the temple compound was also well maintained ☹ufe0f

Initially this was built in between 543 and 750 during the period of Chalukya Dynasty. Thereafter it was reconstructed by the queen Rani Rudrama Devi during the period of Kakatheeya Dynasty. This temple was very much liked by the queen. Again the temple was reconstructed by the family members of Reddy Rajas (Reddy Kings), (Surendar Reddy) in the year 2017 with the blessings of Swamy Sachidanadha Ganapathi Ji. In this temple we can also find Goddess Bramaramba, hence this temple is also called Bramaramba Rameshwara Swamy temple. A big program will be held during the period of Sivarathri festival. During this festival time, a Cart pulled by the devotees. (Rathothsavam). This Shiva Ling is similar to that of Kasi Vishweswara Lingam. Here we can find 18 feet idol of Lord Shiva. The special attraction in this temp[e is that Nandi idol in Pushkarini. (Pond). The temple is surrounded by a beautiful river called Vooka Chettu Vagu. One can get Auto Rickshaws from Kothakota.
