Durgam Twins lakes

Awesome place to explore, it will take 1 whole day to explore this place, fort, lake(dry in summer), good place for hiking, you can bring your stuff to spend a whole nice day here, cook and eat and sleep... This place gives you pleasure.

If Government Cares bit more about this place would have been better

Not a water park but a lake with enough water post rainy season for a dive. Good place, good views. VERY PEACEFUL.

For those who wish to explore this place, the following were my observations:n- It's abt 2.5 hrs drive from hyd. The last stretch of 8kms was pathetic. One can easily navigate through the village in Google maps sat view.n- We parked our car in a compound next to the base of the trek starting point. They were courteous and didn't take any money for parking too.n- Trek was easy following the main trail that leads to 2 large lakes and a small one little inside. Water in the lakes was not clean so we didn't get into them. There isn't much to see these lakes.nnInstead one can directly go to the top which gives aerial view of the lakes and surroundings. But there is a small detour to go to the top which comes much before the two lakes. We were lucky to spot it and follow it.nn- There's an awesome cannon on the top on the hillock which is a must visit here. But the route was covered with under growth after rains and was little confusing, though we figured it out.n- They made amazing staircase to walk across huge boulders on the top which leads to the cannon. Its impossible to even dream of such a setup weighing tonns.nnThere was a stream flowing at the beginning but didn't appear clear enough to drink. So carry sufficient water, snacks and energy bars.nnFort wise there are not much ruins or walls but we were told that there is another side of this hillock where king's throne is carved into a huge boulder and a sit out for public.nnWill have to explore next time.

Exceptional place for trekking. Lakes atop a hill in a fort!! Wow!
