The Naini Retreat, Nainital

Decent place. Food is quite good. Rooms in general are very small and definitely not meant for 3 people. Staff in general helpful but not warm enough. At a lot of common places ceiling height is very less to the point of injury prone but there are no signs. Wi fi is at best average. The place is not the easiest to reach with google positioning to be slightly misleading. The entire space though is pretty good and scenic. Still one of the best places in Nainital. RIGHT NOW AT THE HOTEL, PATHETIC ROOM SERVICE AND SO NON CO-OPERATIVE STAFF. TORN BLANKETS, NO ARRANGEMENT OF FOOD AND NO HOT WATER IN SUCH WINTERS TO BATH. FOR GOING TO THE MALL, I WAS ASKED NOT TO TAKE MY CAR AND RATHER PAY FOR TAXI SINCE THE HOTEL STAFF HAD TO MAKE A LITTLE EFFORT TO SHIFT THEIR OWN CARS. 100 PERCENT NON ADVISABLE PROPERTY. THE SIZE OF THE ROOM IS ALSO VERY VERY SMALL AND NO ARRANGEMENT FOR FOOD. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY FOR SUCH A HOTEL. PLANING TO CHECK OUT TOMORROW ITSELF. MIND ALL, THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR PROPERTY AT ALL.

Kishan Bhargav, the bluff master of Leisure Hotel Ltd#Naini Retreat Nainital I booked 4 rooms a day before my stay i.e. on 30th Oct 2020 with MAP meal plan and closed the deal for Garden View rooms. Few minutes later I receive call from Mr. Bhargava and he offered me the another room selection with partial/non view room with All Meal Plan and convinced me that room size will be same but with no garden view. However, he seems convincing and I agreed upon same and deposited the token. When I reached hotel the room allocated to me were pathetic in terms of size, washroom, view etcetera. Moreover, when we went for lunch there was no buffet just a limited menu with nothing special on it and service was pathetic, time taking and food taste was not even up to mark of what they represent. When complained to reception about the worst room allocated to us, which seems to be room made out from a shaft/store room, one of the room was up-graded. Basic amenities like dental kit, washroom slippers, dryer etcetera were provided after multiple calls. After briefing scenario to con-man Mr. Bhargava, he assured me that Jeena (GM of Naini Retreat) will catch up with you soon at restaurant area, later he was supposed to meet me at my room and later via phone call, still that Mr. Imaginary GM of Naini Retreat hasn’t contacted me, well its’ been a month now, thus writing a review. No one bothered to ask for feedback, since everyone played well in their role for fooling the guest. Very much disappointed, since stayed 2 nights before this stay in Taj Corbet & Spa at Jim Corbett and Mr. Bluff Master Bharagava told me that both the hotels are owned by single group/person. But the difference in services is like hell & heaven THE EXTREME PART IS THAT WHEN I ORDERED 4 BOILED EGG IT COST ME approx 800/- & CHICKEN TIKKA 6 pcs COSTS ME approx 700/-...........................what else could I say about these people.. :( Please make a note that if MR. Bharagava is dealing with you, please DO NOT TAKE THE DEAL or BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT YOU HAVE TALKED AND AGREED UPON. Food  2/5 Service  -10/5 Rooms  0/5 Overall  1/5 Customer Dealing  0/5

Food quality , taste not good, in room no proper facility for protect winter cold weather .. , staff service is Excellent very helpful. Charges so high for one day Rs.18,000/- to Rs.30,000/- included food . & facility Zero.. 🏴‍☠️ 🅾️

It was great staying there though the rooms are bit old but the hotel is very beautiful kind of boutique hotels in abroad...it’s completely safe to go there during corona to stay and eat as we visited it last week itself ...the staff is too fast but not well trained as they are after us for order to order in restrau before we settle down & for room clearance of room service food....so must give time to the visitors to breathe....they are like it’s bf time come and have bf around 10 itself so I think they follow up a lot as it’s quite irritating ......another thing I would like to add is chef parisar who arranged besan ka chilla for bf as I was bored of the north & South Indian and he also took the effort to prepare the local cuisine for us i.e., bhat ki daal.
