Good place to visit.nThere is a lot of talking going on right now about nature preservation, green living and fighting global warming. All things I myself am a great partisan of. But why exactly is it that nature is so very important for us? Is it just because it’s pretty to look at, or makes us feel good? I think it goes even further than that. I think nature is the most intense connection we haven in this world with our own true nature. You don’t have to be a meditator or a spiritual practitioner to experience this, anyone can quite easily experience this in nature.

The place is filled with lush greenery which is very soothing. When visiting Shantiniketan one must visit here especially for the scenic beauty. There's a gallery where one can get varied items of starting from meticulous handicrafts to sarees although the pricing is a bit on the steeper side.

well one star is enough. atmosphere is beautiful and pleasant, has awesome collections of handcrafts, showpieces, glass paintings, bags, garments everything. It,s a large showroom with, very well decoration n ac, but excessive high price of each n every products. e.g- i bought a vase from baguiati, s gift showroom for 260, same vase is there, Mrp is 460. a small glass painting or wall hanging will cost you 500-600 (appx), so its my earnest request to you, don't go there, buy from local poor people at weekend fair ( known as saturday,s hat ). you will get a lot of varities n they will get a financial support from us. thank you .

Thisbplace is a totem of honesty, integrity and all goodness in human endeavours. To understand the place and its shared history with India's struggle for independence is an experience itself. Add to that its superb collection of cloths and artifacts and the satisfaction that you are getting an opportunitynto contribute to the happiness of artisan families is a rare treat. Go there for an exclusive experience. Apportion about 3 hours at least.

Rated 4 star due to only one reason. Shantiniketan is a place where people go to find some peace and tranquility which was heavily disturbed at this place by some picnic parties playing loud Bollywood songs.nElse this place is good for shopping.
