Educational institute having different technological subjects like biotechnology, engineering, molecular biology, biochemistry, microbiology etc. Research is going on so many subjects. Faculties are very humble and helpful. It has an active placement cell. Institute is very clean as well as it's bathrooms.

NIT Durgapur is no doubt one of the best technology college of India. I went to NIT Durgapur on 16th April 2021. My brother as an admirer of the prestigious college and wanted to take a snap outside the main entrance gate of NIT. We walked towards the road outside the gate, as soon I was getting prepared to take a picture of my brother with the NIT gate in the background, one of the guards rushed towards shouting vehemently that photography is prohibited and doing so will have dire consequences. Observing the bad behavior of the guards, we returned from there to our car. I didn't expected such a bad behavior from the staff of NIT Durgapur. We weren't doing anything illegal, moreover we were outside the entrance gate. I hope the administration of NIT Durgapur will look into this matter.
