RANIGANJ police station is one of the oldest police station in West Bengal is now under Asansol Drugapur Police Commissionerate covering area ofn113.05 sq k.m and population of 249618 people of RANIGANJ block ,it's also divided in to three out post excluding RANIGANJ main police station in RANIGANJ town ,these out posts PUNJABI MORE IC ,VALLAVPUR OUT POST ,NIMCHA IC which are covering mostly the rural areas of RANIGANJ block .RANIGANJ police station won best police station award more then once within the state and always ahead in various social activities like organizing Blood donation camp ,football match ,cricket tournament ,distribution of cloths and books among the needy people of the area and also ahead in human rights protection and peacefully controlling the huge pilgrims in Ursh of Pirbabar Mazar at RANIGANJ and also in famous Rath yatra in Searsol Raj Bari .It's true that in recent time there is few incident of violence in town in time of Ramnavami but RANIGANJ police also control that situation very carefully in a town like RANIGANJ which is very much politically and communally sensitive .Official of the police station is very helpful and cooperative .
