Great place to visit to see our history. The collection is good and place is very well maintained. Best place to visit and see the freedom fighters in pictures. I would suggest to take young kids there to see what our freedom fighters have done for us so that we can live this life. The entrance and the temple looks too good. Great work.

The museum contains all the information of Tilak and his contribution towards indian independence fight. It also has old things of Tilak that he used at his home and in the jail. Everyone must visit the museum to enhance knowledge of history. The museum has old photographs of tilak.

Stellar collection. You'd never know its size from the street. Jam-packed - plan on lots of time, especially if you know something about local history. One key place this museum could improve is in the lack of interpretive information. I got a lot out of it because I was there with a local friend who was extremely well-informed. But on your own, it's just a large collection of beautiful objects. Maybe a rental audio guide, more plaques, etc. Maybe even an identifiable docent on each floor? Really do take the time. You'll be happy you did.
