Resu Government Higher Secondary School

It is one of the most oldest schools in the entire garo hills and most of the people from the old rimes came from different areas to study here.originaly it was a secondary school which had classes fromclass5,class6,class7,class8,class9upto class 10.After that it was upgraded into a higher secondary school in a science stream.It was the only and first science stream college during that time.And even today its kinda the same.This science stream has the least acceptance rate and more than few hundreds of people compete for the seats but only few are selecte.From then the class 5 has been cancelled out from the school as all the primary and other secondary schools now have class 5 in their school.Since then it has educate many great people.This school was set established in 1950 just few years after the Indian independence.This school began with few peoples but later began huge.The first student of this school did not even had book then they used to write on those old chalk boards that they carry from home but even that board was quiet expensive considering that time.The science section began with few peoples like literally 3 people at first.As this is a government school it receives all the national holidays along with many state regard holidays.And many of the programmes have took place in this school.And its students also have participated in different programmes and even went to shillong for other programmes and workshop and stuffs.Its students nowadays are mostly studying in tura,shillong and some parts of india .This school has raised many medical students who grew up into doctors and nurses and other profesional.This school has also raised many defenders along with some officers.Overall it was a good school.But since then it did not recieved any funds for repair.But the technical division has received many funds which helped the school to upgrade its current facilities.But its results are now degrading i guess due to lack of teachers and abundance of holidays.
