Vivekananda House

Great museum. Depicts glorious history of India, there are portrays, pictures and information about Swami Vivekananda, the stories about him is shown in a easy, creative manner. Overall art, cultural museum is really nice and good maintained. Due to corona issues 3D and 4D shows are currently not running. Their is also book store if anyone wants to purchase history and Swami Vivekananda books. The aura and felling of the whole place is very peaceful. One can complete visiting the museum in around 1 hr if he goes through and read all things like wisdom words, stories etc

Phone not working... If visited no one is there to guide whether is the museum is even opened or not...yes, Corona issue is understandable but why isn't someone put there at least to attend phones and say it's all completely closed..how come all other museum are managed to open but only V.House is closed.. but I still see some reviews posted by weeks/month ago...Don't know how few are allowed when the main door is locked when we saw...Typical native maindset which is 'whoever suffers I don't care'

A trip to the Vivekananda House is a must if you admire the celebrated monk. In 1900, Swami Vivekananda stayed in this double-storey Victorian mansion for 6 weeks. They are closed for Corona and in Google it's updated as open however only few people are posting reviews. We heard they allow few relative people who is close to management. Also due to nearby kuppams the entrance all are dirty with gukta stains and not maintained. We like Vivekananda so much but this rating is just for this V. House management

This museum is having collections of photos, literature and stories related to Swamiji. U will feel positive vibes after a 5 min meditation here. Very good place to spend at least 45 mins.
