Nilgiris Calling

If there was an option of 10 stars, we would have happily rated 10/10. A must have experience in this cozy homestay with really nice hosts and great affordable food. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit from California here. We will definitely come back and highly recommend it to everyone. Stephen and Anupa are wonderful hosts and they made feel at home.

Amazing place in midst of tea garden

Great stay surrounding by tea gardens. Hidden treasure in kotagiri. Host is very helpful. Much recommended place to stay.

The best Hospitality experience I had for my two day stay at Nilgiri's CallingnMr. and Mrs. Jacob were really amazing to make guests Feel@Home. In the past I had been to many home stay's but never liked most of the stays..but this stay at Nilgiri's Calling blown my mind away. One more important thing I have to mention is the food cooked by Mrs. Jacob with extra love and care is very tasty. The view from the balcony suite is mesmerizing. The rooms are clean and neat. Mr. and Mrs. Jacob guided us really well to visit the places around Ooty and Coonor.nnKids enjoyed pet experience dogs Ira and Pax. Catty Nia and her 4 Kittens , Cage free Chickens , Bee Hive. You can spot different kinds of Birds around. Yes...you can find sparrows which are out of the city these days.nnHonestly enjoyed the stay far from the City hustle bustle and Office life. This Home really deserve's 5+ rating. I planned to spend a very good time on a holiday, and long behold my search ended at Nilgiris Calling. All the reviews and photos and everything was tending to the positive side. Booked well in advance as well.nOn the D Day, I finally arrived at the milestone mentioned by Mr. Stephen, and took the dreaded U turn (travelling from Ooty to Nilgiris Calling in a car which has Low clearance) but it was not that difficult to maneuver.The 800Mts or so is bumpy, but nothing to worry about.nnWe slowly started to see the Grey color of the inclined roof, and Alas !!! it was a sight to behold. There were green tea leaves all around, but a tiny grey diamond sitting in the center. What a beautiful house.nnMrs. Stephan surely is a wonderful host, she came out and welcomed us inside and asked if we needed some water or something. Then we were shown the place we stayed, and yes it was BEAUTIFUL. Just amazing. The view from the deck is as good in the morning as it is in the night ( if it is not covered by FOG). The place can easily accommodate around 8 adults or more. The place was very clean and tidy and well kept.nnThe food, was simply Lip smacking. You really really really need to be there to believe me. Mrs. Stephen cooked us very good food, and the best part is, they sit with you when you have your food.nnThe icing on the cake was the CAKE. It was my birthday, and Mr. Stephen got a cake and made me cut it, which was certainly unexpected.Beautiful surprise. The best part of that celebration was that the Family prayed for us, and I could feel the vibrations down every part of my body. The aura and the atmosphere after the prayer was immaculate. People who have a very good heart and soul can only get such good vibrations.nnAt last the cuddly cuddly dogs, Max and Lucky, if I am not wrong, were playful as ever. Mr and Mrs Stephan, a Big Thank you for making our vacation memorable.nI travelled with parents, wify and my 2 year old daughter.
