This place is packed and busy and full of life. The building is interesting. The selection of trains and platforms is huge and you can travel all over the India. The shops are many and fun - I even found a great little book shop - and the trains runs from the very rich to the dirt poor sleeping on platforms. The area surrounding the station is even busier. Trains still take you everywhere and they are cheap.I am usually will travel to Hyderabad by Train and Khammam station will be a nice experience . Budget Hotels are near by and they are fine and it is good Experience. Basic facilities like rest rooms, pharmacy, health care, restaurants are available here.Improvement should be made for hassle free walk right from entrance to the concerned platform, as we find many people sitting or sleeping in the open hall leading to the platforms..

Clean place. Well maintained,but sometimes looks bad, when it comes to cleanliness, highly secured place. And provided with cafeteria and stuff. Free cold and clean drinking water is also available. Kulies are also available at all times. Two ticket counters present either ends of platforms like platform number 1 and 2. Lift is also available for old and differently abled people and ramp is also available to roll wheel chair. Waiting hall. Clean wash rooms, and time to time announcements for upcoming trains are also given. SCR present at the end of the platform 1 and 2 are slightly defective. Repair is needed.

Khammam railway station was very good in neatness and waiting rooms also good with 1st class waiting room arrangement and 2nd class waiting rooms, canteen facility also available with all M.R.P rates
