The place provides you all the basic facilities a Post Office gives you. But the only thing is that some development is required to make this P.O. a great one..

I would send few letter via speed post 10am,10.45 am, and 2.40pm 3 time in two days. They could not recieve my letter. They excusesed some problem (1st time... office computer start after 11pm, 2nd time... after 2.30 pm computer will not work etc...) So I am very disappointed there service.. Pls upgrade the system and staff mentality..

Alipurduar is the name of a town as well as a district in Dooars area of West Bengal. This is the northeast corner of the state boarding Assam on the East, Bhutan on the North and Bangladesh on the south. In 2014 Alipurduar town and its surrounding area became the 20th district of West Bengal.nnAlipurduar is a major railway junction of the area, it is the headquarter of Alipurduar division of North East Frontier Railway.nThe area has tremendous tourism potential. The first part “Ali” is derived from the name of Col Hedayat Ali Khan who lived here and fought a war with Bhutan. “Pur” meaning residence and word “Duar” has its origin in the name of the region “Dooars”. The original name was Alipur meaning the place where Ali lived, the Duar was added to distinguish it from the Alipore of Calcutta. The subdivision is located at the extreme east of West Bengal bordering the state of Assam.
