It is just 200 metres away from the Badrinath main temple. Police station is very cooperative and neat and clean. During my stay there I did not find any type of anti social activities and I think this the only police station in India where Police can not find any culprits or misbehaved person to put into cell

This high altitude polio Station doing a tremendous job for the safety of pilgrims in BADRINATH. When police camp in under the snow and electronic devices are not working properly then also they are entering the car no. and number of pilgrims in a paper to count how many peoples are there and how to protect them from natural calamities. There is no scope to though the condition of their own home, they are working day and night to clear road blocks for pelgrim.

Badrinath or Badrinarayan Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu, located in Garhwal hill tracks in Chamoli district along the banks of Alaknanda River at an elevation of 3,133 m (10,279 ft) above the sea level. Despite its remote location, it is one of the most visited pilgrimage centers of India, having recorded one million visits a year. Some fun facts about this temple are that despite its popularity, this site has no historical record, there is a mention of the presiding deity Badrinath in Vedic scriptures and it shut down for winter months every year. Thus, the best time to visit this site is after Summer and before Fall (specifically, May to September).
